If you are already a PADI Instructor looking to gain more experience and make yourself more employable or just want to challenge yourself this is the way to do it.

PADI Speciality Instructor Training Courses

If you are anything like most dive instructors after becoming a PADI Scuba Instructor you won’t want to just be teaching the PADI Open Water Diver Course, whilst this is the best course for you to be teaching to sharpen your skills you'll want to teach divers specific types of diving ones in which you are probably most passionate about.  To do this you need to be able to teach PADI Specialty diver courses.

There are a vast number of PADI Speciality Instructor Training Courses available, below is a list of our most popular ones:

  • PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Speciality Instructor Course
  • PADI Wreck Diver Speciality Instructor Course
  • PADI Deep Diver Speciality Instructor Course
  • PADI Administer Emergency Oxygen Specialty Instructor Course
  • PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Speciality Instructor Course
  • PADI Tec Rec Gas Blender Speciality Instructor Course
  • PADI Search and Recovery Speciality Instructor Course
  • PADI Equipment Specialist Speciality Instructor Course

If you are ready to do your speciality instructor training then join on the speciality instructor training courses at the end of your IDC.  At the end of each IDC there are a few days where we run the MSDT Preparation program and if there are other specialities you want to complete just contact us to organise a time.

Emergency First Response Instructor

Becoming and EFR Instructor means that you are now able to teach people how to save a life!

Prior to every IDC we run this 2 day program as a warm up to the main event.  Everywhere we go there is always going to be a need for people trained in first aid to help us deal with small cuts and scrapes right through to major life threatening injuries.

During the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you will build on your skill as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional abilities to teach these skills to others. The Instructor course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) and Care for Children courses. (Region-specific courses including First Aid at Work Asia Pacific require additional training.)

The instructor course covers specific goals and performance requirements for the Primary Care, Secondary Care and Care for Children courses, along with instruction on how to structure learning, the requirements of performance-based training, and your role as the instructor in the learning environment. You also learn how to motivate students, evaluate student knowledge, present course content effectively, become proficient in developing students' hands-on skills practice sessions, and are taught how to present an effective scenario-based learning experience.

PADI Master SCUBA Diver Trainer

Remember when I said that you are the product that you are marketing?  Yes! If not click here and then come back. It’s now time to pimp your dive credentials with our MSDT Preparation program.

You already have the Search and Recovery Speciality Instructor rating now let’s add five more which are Deep, Wreck, Nitrox, Gas Blender (enriched air only) and Emergency Oxygen Provider Specialty Instructor (If you have your Cert IV TAA we can also do the Administer Emergency Oxygen Speciality Instructor course).

Once you have certified 25 divers and have 5 PADI Speciality Instructor ratings to your name you will be able to apply to PADI to become a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and you will now be able to certify Master Scuba Divers, the highest non professional Scuba Diver rating in the world.

IDC Staff Instructor

Once you are a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer you can participate in the IDC Staff Instructor program this program will take you to the next level!

As a PADI IDC Staff Instructor you will be able to assist Course Directors in running PADI IDC programs here in Australia and around the world.  This is very similar in how a PADI Divemaster works with a PADI Instructor. You will be heavily involved in coordinating Instructor development programs and you will also be able to independently teach the PADI Assistant Instructor courses.

The IDC Staff Instructor course commences prior to the start of each IDC where you will be taught how to evaluate Instructor level candidates, hone your diving skills and then you will assist on an entire IDC where you will get to practice your new found skills.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

As a PADI Instructor you will be able to gain recognition for prior learning which can be credited towards your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.  This will make you more employable in and out of the dive industry.

But probably the most importantly you will be able to complete the EFR First Aid at Work Instructor program and be able to issue nationally recognised statements of attainment after registration with PADI's RTO.
